How we use your information
Medical confidentiality is the cornerstone of trust between Doctor and patient and we keep your information secure and confidential at all times.
Under article 6(1)e and article 9(2)(h) of the General Data Protection regulations we do not need consent to share relevant data with other professionals directly involved with your care, or emergency care. We will not consider implied consent authority to share data and will always seek express informed consent to share data with any individual or organisation that is secondary to your care provider.
We will only transfer data without express consent where there is a legal basis for doing so, we may pass limited and relevant information to other NHS organisations to improve the efficient management of the NHS, or to aid research.
If you wish to object to the use of your data for these secondary uses please contact the Data Protection Officer at the Surgery.
Personal data that you provide and that we gather on you must be processed in a fair manner. Fair processing means that the Practice has to be clear and open with people about how their information is used. To achieve this the Practice has provided Privacy Notices for each process likely to involve your data being shared outside of the practice. Providing a privacy notice is a way of stating the practice's commitment to being transparent and is part of fair processing. This Privacy Notices can be seen in the next tab.
